Canexis' existing portfolio includes cannabidiol Ph. Eur. as well as THC- and CBD-containing extracts and distillates. Discussions with partner companies indicate a growing need for further pharmaceutical solutions – particularly dronabinol and standardized cannabis extracts with defined active ingredient content.
Dronabinol, or Delta-9-THC in its pure form, is of interest for both compounding applications and the development of finished medicinal products. Standardized extracts also offer the possibility of providing defined THC and CBD levels and tailoring them to specific product requirements.
In addition to their use as pharmaceutical active ingredients, we are exploring solutions that partners can take as bulk products and convert into their intended dosage forms. This is intended to simplify development processes and support collaboration from specification to further processing.
Development work commenced in the fourth quarter of 2025. The validation phase for dronabinol and standardized cannabis extracts is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. We will provide updates on the next milestones as soon as the respective development and validation steps are completed.
