A day of knowledge and development: Our annual internal GMP training day 2024
To support our ongoing efforts to ensure
highest quality standards, our annual
internal training day.
Thanks to regular training courses on Good
Manufacturing Practices (GMP), our employees receive the expertise
and know-how they need to consistently produce high-quality products
to manufacture.
Expertise in focus: Training management by our
GMP instructors
This year’s training day was led by our experienced
Head of Quality Assurance, Ursina Graf, in cooperation with other
experienced GMP instructors. Their in-depth knowledge and
extensive experience in the areas of GMP and quality assurance were
crucial for the success of the training day. The team of instructors led
the participants through a series of complex topics, with particular emphasis on
practice-oriented approaches and the direct application of the training content,
to ensure that the content is conveyed appropriately.
GMP Deviation Management: Prevention and Response
A central focus of the training was the
GMP Deviation Management. Although we have already covered this aspect in our
daily routines, it is crucial to
to regularly refresh these processes and provide further training. The focus was on
how deviations from defined processes are detected early, correctly
documented and can be effectively resolved. The participants learned
Deviations not only as potential errors, but as valuable
Opportunities for process optimization were considered. Best practices
for root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and
Preventive measures are provided to prevent similar deviations in the future
avoid.
GMP-compliant documentation: The basis of our work
Another focus was on GMP-compliant
Documentation. This is the backbone of our production, as it provides
Traceability and integrity of the manufacturing steps are guaranteed.
Although GMP-compliant documentation is already an integral part of our
daily work, it was important to us to understand the relevance and requirements
The participants received detailed instructions on how to
correct creation, maintenance and archiving of documentation. Special value
The importance of accuracy and consistency in documentation was emphasized
to meet the GMP standard.
Handling controlled substances: safety and
Compliance
Another relevant topic of the training day was the correct
Dealing with narcotics , as CPAG has had an operating license to handle controlled substances since April 2024. The use of these products requires strict safety protocols and compliance with legal requirements. The training included practical instructions on the safe handling, storage and disposal of these substances as well as the specific regulatory
Requirements that must be met. Our employees have been informed
trained to identify and minimize potential risks,
to ensure both security and compliance.
Hygiene concept: The correct behavior in the cleanroom
The topic of hygiene must not be neglected on a GMP training day.
The employees were given many practical examples to show them
conveys the importance of adhering to the hygiene concept in the
GMP manufacturing. Our employees deepened their knowledge of the correct behavior in the cleanroom, especially which clothing regulations and Disinfection measures are required for access to this regulated zone.
A successful day full of valuable insights
This year’s training day was a complete success and has
once again underlined the importance of continuous training in our
Through intensive engagement with the topics
Deviation management, GMP-compliant documentation and handling of
controlled substances, our employees were able to deepen their knowledge and
expand their capabilities. This ensures that we continue to offer products from
of the highest quality and safety that meet the requirements
of our customers.
We thank Ursina Graf, the other GMP instructors and
everyone involved for their contribution to this successful training day. The
